Why we like it Donatella is one of the busiest Italian restaurants in Cais do Sodré, on Travessa do Carvalho, a short walk from the Time Out Market and Pink Street. The wood-fired oven was built on site by the Forni Magliano family from Naples, and the pizzas come out with a thin base and a crisp edge, made with San Marzano DOP tomato and buffalo mozzarella. Pasta is made fresh in house every day. The dishes that come up most often are the beetroot ravioli with ricotta and pistachio, the burrata with sun-dried tomato, and the carbonara. The room is warm and relaxed, wood and exposed brick, with a few tables outside, and the kitchen stays open late. A good spot for Italian food in one of the liveliest parts of Lisbon.
